To mark International Women’s Day, the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights organized the third edition of PowHer at the Espace Léo Ferré. The event brought together stakeholders in the Principality committed to women’s rights on Friday, March 6, 2026. The chosen theme was “Sport, Health, Equality: A Woman’s Journey.”
Event concept
This event aimed to highlight the differences that exist in the lifecycle of men and women.
The event was designed to be both fun and informative, addressing a variety of topics such as stereotypes in sports, first periods, certain women’s health conditions, and the legacy left to future generations.
All the day’s activities were organized around an athletics track in the heart of the Léo Ferré space, as well as on its stage.
- An immersive scavenger hunt.
- An original participatory art installation created by MrOneTeas.
- A photo exhibition by Sébastien Salamand, aka Le Turk, showcasing Monegasque female athletes.

Launch of the PowHer event
His Excellency the Minister of State was present for the launch of the day, accompanied by numerous representatives of Monegasque institutions. They inaugurated the collective artwork by MrOneTeas and discovered the various activities.

An immersive game
From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, representatives from government agencies, the City Hall, the Princess Grace Hospital (CHPG), and member associations of the Committee offered numerous workshops to enhance the scavenger hunt. Visitors were given a bracelet bearing the name of an inspiring woman. The goal of the game was to find the password associated with the woman wearing the bracelet. To do this, participants had to take part in the various activities offered in the designated area; successfully completing each activity provided a clue to the password.
Each activity was linked to a stage in a woman’s life: Childhood – Adolescence – 20s – 30s – 40s – 50s – 60s – Seniors.
Each booth offered a fun and educational way to explore a women’s issue related to the associated life stage.

A collective finish line
MrOneTeas created a unique participatory artwork for this third edition of the PowHer event. It was a gateway symbolizing the finish line, which participants had the opportunity to sign before having their picture taken.
Decorated with the phrase “Together, we can do it” and the infinity symbol (a horizontal “8”), it represented the culmination of the day’s journey while also signifying that this is not the end of the road we still have to travel collectively regarding women’s rights.

School visits
In partnership with the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports, eight classes of middle school students participated in the event. Young players from the ASM FC training center also made the trip to take part in the day’s activities. The teachers and the organizers of the various booths all praised their involvement and interest in the activities offered.

Public speaking competition
The day concluded with the final of the oratory competition, held at the National Council. The 10 students who had passed the preliminary round took turns in the heart of the chamber to deliver their speeches on this year’s theme.
Three winners were selected by the jury, composed of representatives from Monegasque institutions, government departments, and the National Council’s guest, Ms. Despina Chatzivassiliou, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
During the jury’s deliberations, a musical interlude was performed by Massimiliano Greco, pianist and head of the music department at the Princess Grace Academy. Mr. Greco notably composed “Lettera a Giulia,” a work dedicated to Giulia Cecchettin, who was murdered in 2023 by her former partner.
