The Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights will host Ms. Isabelle Rome, Ambassador for Human Rights to the French Government, on November 20, 2025, in Monaco for a day of discussions.

A former magistrate specializing in domestic violence, and later Minister Delegate for Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities, Isabelle Rome is recognized for her commitment to women’s rights and the fight against domestic violence. Her visit to the Principality is part of the ongoing activities surrounding the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25 and is also part of the Committee’s exchange of best practices with its international counterparts.

This day will provide an opportunity to meet with representatives of Monegasque institutions, government departments, and member associations of the Committee to discuss the various policies implemented in Monaco and France regarding the prevention of and protection against violence against women.

The day will conclude with a conference at the Lycée Rainier III at 6:00 p.m., where Isabelle Rome will address the challenges of combating violence against women and the issues to be addressed in this area.
