The Women’s Rights Committee this year ran a new information and awareness campaign.  Read about some of the highlights below.

Campaign film

This year’s audiovisual campaign was based around three stories, presented in the form of short interactive films. You can watch them at changezlhistoire.com. The films tell the stories of three men, Manuel, Marc and Henri, each of whom finds himself with a choice to make.

A longer film including all three stories was also released on our social media pages and broadcast on Monaco Info. Click on the image below to watch the film.

Stands and white ribbons

This year, we invited the people of Monaco to show their support for the cause by wearing a white ribbon, the international symbol of the movement to end violence against women. We distributed ribbons at our awareness campaign stands at La Condamine market on the morning of 23 November, and at Fontvieille shopping mall on 24 November. We would like to thank all of the representatives from institutional organisations and nonprofits that supported us over the two days.

Awareness and engagement with school students

On 25 November, the Committee organised an awareness and engagement session with senior year class representatives of the Principality’s three high schools. The session was aimed at presenting the information campaign and giving the students a chance to put their questions to professionals from nonprofit AVIP, the Department of Social Welfare and Social Services, and the Police Department, all of whom provide support to victims on a daily basis.
